Actor Shahid Kapoor’s wife, Mira Rajput, courted controversy a few months back when she said that she did not want to leave daughter Misha at home and leave for work because she’s not a “puppy”. The star wife has now responded to it in an interview to Bombay Times.
Mira said that she feels she could’ve chosen her words better but that she was “not an actor or a public figure”, which gave her the “luxury to be politically incorrect”.
She also added that stay-at-home mothers “deserve to be celebrated” on Mother’s Day as well. Talking about Misha, she said that she wanted her baby to have a “normal childhood” and that she should grow up to know that she has “privileges” “because of her father”.
Will her comment kick up a new controversy?
