The youngest Kardashian family member and founder of Kylie Cosmetics is swiftly climbing the ladder to success. Her three-year-old beauty business generated an estimated USD 360 million in sales in 2018.
The 21-year-old’s latest feather in the cap - is featuring in the coveted Forbes’ annual billionaires’ list - as the youngest self-made billionaire. Forbes estimates Jenner’s company to be worth at least USD 900 million. Kylie reached the milestone earlier than Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, who hit the mark when he was 23.
“I didn’t expect anything. I did not foresee the future. But (the recognition) feels really good. That’s a nice pat on the back”, Jenner told Forbes.
With over 175 million followers across Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook and Twitter, she attributes the success of her product to social media. “It’s the power of social media. I had such a strong reach before I was able to start anything”, she adds.
Last year too, the magazine had selected Jenner to be the cover star for its 2018 list of the country’s richest “self-made” women.
