Enjoying every bit of success he has scored after Luka Chuppi this year, actor Kartik Aaryan is aware that he needs to be more careful about his choices in the film industry now. In an interview with IANS, he said that Ranbir Kapoor is one actor whose filmography he is envious of.
The Luka Chuppi actor also stated that he was ‘dying’ to act in a film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and ‘would love’ to co-star with Ranbir Kapoor in one as well.
“Sanjay Leela Bhansali is one director I’m dying to work with. He is someone whose work has always inspired me. If there is a two-hero film, I would love to have Ranbir Kapoor as my co-star. He is an amazing actor and his choice of films make me envy him.”Kartik Aaryan to IANS
When asked whether Ranbir features as a role model to him, the 28-year-old actor gave a diplomatic response.
“I’d say every actor I've grown up watching from Mr Amitabh Bachchan to Ranbir and Ranveer are my role models. And I hope one day some newly arrived actor will see me as a role model,” he told the news agency.
Post Lukka Chuppi, Kartik is currently working on director Imtiaz Ali’s Pati Patni Aur Woh. Several reports have also suggested that he will be pairing up with Kedarnath actress Sara Ali Khan for another movie by Ali - Love Aaj Kal 2 - the sequel to the original starring Sara’s father, Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone.
