Even as Kangana Ranaut is bringing back the focus on the many controversies in her life - from alleged affairs with Hrithik Roshan and Aditya Pancholi to sharing writing credits for Simran, her very publicly declared foe Karan Johar has been quiet. Ever since he apologised for his rather crude jokes on nepotism at the IIFA Awards some months back, KJo has been keeping largely in the shadows.
But then just a couple of hours after her The Bollywood Diva Song in collaboration with AIB came out, Karan Johar tweeted out what seems like a sly dig at Kangana. Check out the tweet:
And here’s the song:
Beginning with a spoof on one of the scenes from KJo’s Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, the number is a scathing comment on Bollywood’s rampant sexism.
And it obviously didn’t go down well with the filmmaker. While Johar takes no names, the address to “talent” does seem to be directed at Kangana. He writes that “overconfidence and delusion” are conspiring against the talent - something that he has said in other words several times before. From asking Kangana to leave if the industry if it is so bad to asking her to stop playing the woman and victim card.
Interesting.
