It seems that there is no stopping Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli Chandel. She has taken to Twitter to say that Kangana has said no to films starring Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir Khan. She has even turned down Sanju, starring Ranbir Kapoor. “ Kangana has willingly said no to Khan films, YRF films, Bhansali, Kumar( Singh is Bling), Devgan(Baadshaaho), Kapoor( Sanju)films, if she had done all these she would have made to all popularity lists, she chose the path less travelled...”, Rangoli wrote.
In another tweet, Rangoli also said that the industry biggies are busy buttering Salman Khan, and Karan Johar is the one leading the “chaploosi pack”. She also added that these people praise Salman on his face but criticise him behind his back.
Recently, Rangoli had also come out in support of her sister when a report by Asian Age quoted sources as saying that Kangana Ranaut wasn’t happy with her character arc in her upcoming film Mental Hai Kya after she saw the footage. She alleged that the nepotism gang was behind these rumours. She took to Twitter to write, “ Everytime nepo gang wants to harm Kangana’s career they make such articles viral, truth is every director isn’t looking to baby sit a thumb twiddling dumb star kid, some rather have a partner who is watching their back”.
She continued to lash out, saying that Kangana had to push aside her directorial venture to accommodate new-age filmmakers who are hoping to get a breakthrough in Bollywood. “She is one of those rare actresses who has given break to directors like Aanand L Rai, Vikas Bahl...”, Rangoli wrote.
Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao’s upcoming film Mental Hai Kya has been embroiled in controversies. It was supposed to clash with Hrithik-Roshan starrer Super 30. The makers of Mental Hai Kya had shifted their film’s release date from 21 June, the same day Super 30 was supposed to release. However, the latter got a new release date and will hit theatres on 12 July, two weeks earlier than originally planned.
Hrithik Roshan had issued a statement on social media about the shift in the release date of Super 30, saying that he wished to save it from being “desecrated by yet another media circus”. “I have decided to shift the release date of my film Super 30 in order to save myself from the personal trauma and toxic mental violence this would cause,” he added.
