In the interview, Hrithik admitted that choosing to do ‘Super 30’ was a difficult decision as he did not feel confident enough to take on a film that was not mainstream.

He felt he did not have enough success backing such a risky choice. But being the “curious soul” that he is, he decided to listen to his heart and dive in. It also made his realise the value of following your own heart and not just going by what the box office figures tell you.

When questioned about the #MeToo allegations against Super 30 director Vikas Bahl that surfaced in 2018, Hrithik said that he was “extremely shocked and troubled.”

“I’m glad that I was probably one of the firsts, who took a hard stand and decided to stall the film, allowing law to take its course,” he added.

Finally opening up about his upcoming film War, Hrithik said that it is a film he has been waiting to do for a very long time. He also added that if he could, he’d do films like War all the time. He even confessed that ever since the release of Bang Bang, he has been waiting for a film like this. “When I read the script of War, I was extremely charged because I knew that this is it – finally a film in which I’d be able to do the things I want to do,” said Hrithik.

Working on the sets of War meant that Hrithik finally got to interact with actor Tiger Shroff. Hrithik couldn’t help but appreciate Tiger’s work ethic. He even added that after seeing Tiger’s work, he too is a fan of the actor.

War is directed by Siddharth Anand and will release on 2 October.
