Kangana Ranaut Celebrates Election Results by Making Pakodas

BJP is poised for a landslide victory in the Lok Sabha elections by cementing leads in almost 300 seats.

Bollywood celebs, including Ajay Devgn, Ekta Kapoor, Anupam Kher, Vishal Dadlani, Siddharth, Abhishek Bachchan, Salman Khan, Ayushmann Khurrana, Riteish Deshmukh and others, weighed in on the results on social media. Kangana Ranaut made pakodas to celebrate the election results, her sister Rangoli Chandel tweeted.

Preity Zinta said that the elections have proved that India has voted for a “strong, stable and decisive government.”

Shabana Azmi congratulated Kirron Kher and Hema Malini for their victory in the respective constituencies.

Varun Dhawan also said, “ Looking forward to the future under you guidance and leadership where all Indians move ahead together.”

Anupam Kher is set to welcome Narendra Modi for a second term as prime minister. He also posted a video of his mother voicing her support for Modi.

Ekta Kapoor posted a picture of her son Ravie as the two watched the results on television. “All eyes on #Amethi we r (sic) rooting for our aunt,” she tweeted, referring to Smriti Irani who is contesting against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi from his constituency Amethi in Uttar Pradesh.

Yesteryear actor Dharmendra congratulated his son Sunny Deol and wife Hema Malini, who were leading in their respective constituencies of Gurdaspur in Punjab and Mathura in Uttar Pradesh according to initial trends.

After joking that he would delete his Twitter account if Modi didn’t return to power, actor Siddharth had some words of criticism for the Congress. “Congress should consider changing their team name like #DelhiDaredevils. There are only so many thrashings under an incapable leader and self goals that any party can take. Is the grand old party of Independent India on its death bed? #IndianElections2019” he wrote.

He also congratulated Modi tweeting, “I hope you will take us to great heights. I promise to always voice my honest opinions in the interest of our great nation as a citizen without fear. Please spread love. God bless. Jai Hind.”
