On International Women's Day, producer Ekta Kapoor shared a winsome throwback moment with her Insta followers - her black and white image (as a child) with Sridevi.
“Women’s Day is every day!!! But today, I’ll remember a woman who gave me a childhood joy like no other! I lost touch with her when I grew up but the fat child in me had a silent approval of India’s first female superstar! My mom will always be my biggest hero but this Women’s Day is for that hero who first showed me ‘strong women support women (even if she is much younger)‘ #ripsridevi #ladysuperstar,”Read the caption of Ekta’s Instagram post.
Sridevi passed away at the age of 54 in Dubai late Saturday (February 24), just a day before her blockbuster film Himmatwala, co-starring Jeetendra, Ekta’s father, would have completed 35 years. Having appeared in about 15 films with Jeetendra, it’s no wonder that Sridevi gave Ekta ‘a childhood joy like no other’.
