Deepika Padukone is quite active on social media, and she was ecstatic as she crossed 40 million followers on Instagram recently. The actor took to Instagram to thank her fans, and she also had a special surprise for them. She made personalised notes for 40 of them. “40 personalised notes for 40 of you.Thank you for all your love! #40million,” Deepika wrote.
On the work front, Deepika will be next seen in Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak, based on acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. The film also stars Vikrant Massey and will hit the theatres in January 2020. She will also feature in Kabir Khan’s sports drama ’83.
Apart from the two movies, Deepika has another ambitious project in hand. She will be moving on to an adaptation of the Hindu epic Mahabharat, She will produce as well as act in Mahabharat and will essay the role of Draupadi.
Recently, the actor said that she is honoured to be part of the project. “I am thrilled to be playing the role of Draupadi. I believe that this is the role of a lifetime. While Mahabharat is popularly known for its mythological tales and cultural influence, many of life’s lessons can also be derived from the epic. However, it is narrated from the perspective of men. Recounting it through the eyes of Draupadi will not only be interesting but also significant,” Deepika said in a statement.
