In a shocking turn of events, a decomposing corpse was found on the premises of a farmhouse owned by Telugu star Nargarjuna Akkineni on the outskirts of Hyderabad on Wedneday 19 September.

The 40-acre property, located in Papireddyguda in Telangana's Rangareddy district was bought by Nagarjuna only recently. He had been visiting the land to plant saplings and working with organic cultivation experts to find better ways of farming.

The skeletal remains of a body were found by farm workers who noticed a foul smell coming from a room in an abandoned building. The police were immediately informed.

Investigation officers have claimed that the unidentified individual is suspected to have died 6 months ago and the cause of death could be suicide.

SI Venkateswarulu of the Keshampet police had this to say to The News Minute.

“We were alerted by the VRO (Village Revenue Officer) last night. After inspecting the area and the body, we suspect that it could be a suicide. Though we haven’t identified the deceased yet, we are zeroing in on the person. We are investigating the death, it is too early to comment further,”
