Filmmaker Christopher Nolan and actor Robert Pattinson have arrived in Mumbai to shoot for their upcoming film Tenet. The movie also stars Dimple Kapadia, Elizabeth Debicki, Kenneth Branagh and Michael Caine.

A report in Mumbai Mirror said that Christopher Nolan has landed in Mumbai on Friday morning and he will begin shooting for the film shortly. “Some of the main sequences of Tenet are expected to be filmed shortly. Nolan will stay in Mumbai till the end of this month,” a source told Mumbai Mirror.

A few photographs have surfaced online. While one features Nolan coming out of the airport, another one shows Pattinson clicking a selfie with a fan.

The film’s team is stationed in south Mumbai for the shoot. Some of the important action sequences will be shot in India.

Nolan has planned to shoot Tenet in seven countries including Italy, UK, Estonia apart from India.

An interesting casting in the film is Dimple Kapadia. Earlier in July, some photos of the actor shooting in Estonia had surfaced online, which kept fans guessing about her character.

Mumbai-based talent manager Purvi Lavingia Vats, who had pitched the idea of casting Dimple to Nolan’s team, had told IANS: “Dimple is a great actor. She is the only Indian actor to be a part of this project as of now.”

Nolan visited India last year to create awareness about celluloid films in the digital era, and interacted with Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Hassan and Shah Rukh Khan.

Tenet is slated to release on July 2020.
