After going gaga over the grand outfits at the Met Gala, it’s now time to look forward to the red carpet looks of the upcoming Cannes Film Festival. Like every year, the 12-day extravaganza held by the French Riviera is a jaw-dropping event as Bollywood actors walk the red carpet in their most eye-catching ensembles. The 72nd Cannes Film Festival will be held from 14 May to 25 May and here’s when you can catch Bollywood celebrities at the event.
1. Kangana Ranaut
This year will be Kangana Ranaut’s second appearance at the Cannes Film Festival and the Manikarnika actor has her appearance all planned. According to reports by Midday, Kangana’s will be wearing a traditional Indian sari to Cannes. However, it won’t be an ordinary sari. As a tribute to her roots, Kangana’s sari, along with her stylist Ami Patel, will be made of dying Indian weaves and rich fabrics. The sari will be designed by Falguni and Shane Peacock.
2. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
Like every year, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will most definitely be gracing the red carpet. Earlier there were rumours that she might make her appearance on 19 May. However, her dates are not confirmed yet.
3. Sonam Kapoor
If there’s anyone in Bollywood known exclusively for her style-statement, it’s Sonam Kapoor. The Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga actor always shows up in the most stunning outfits. This year, she shall be making her grand appearance on 20-21 May.
4. Deepika Padukone
After stealing all our hearts with her camp-inspired Met gala outfit designed by Zac Posen, Deepika Padukone is ready to set another red carpet ablaze. The actor will be seen at the French Riviera on 16 May. The actor is also flying in a few days earlier for some work.
5. Huma Qureshi
After last year’s striking pant-suit attire, actor Huma Qureshi will be appearing at Cannes for the second time as a part of a brand association with Grey Goose. According to Mumbai Mirror, the Badlapur actor will be seen around 19-20 May.
