The Nickyanka wedding was straight out of the fairytale for the Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas fans. The ‘crossover’ couple took vows in a Christian service, which was officiated by Jonas' father, Paul Kevin who is a pastor and it was followed up by a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony in a regal venue packed to the rafters with old world charm. The mehendi and sangeet ceremonies too exuded all things dreamy. The duo returned to Mumbai after a Delhi reception on 5 December.
In an interview with DNA, Madhu Chopra, Priyanka’s mother, who walked her down the aisle said:
“It was an emotional moment for everyone. I broke into tears when I saw Priyanka dressed as a bride. I had waited for this day all my life.”
“I was at a loss of words. When I saw Priyanka, I couldn’t control my emotions. The white gown was so beautiful. My baby looked like a princess,” she continued as elaborated on how she felt about the Christian service.
According to reports, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are set to host a reception in Mumbai on 20 December.
