The Mumbai police has given a clean chit to filmmaker Subhash Ghai against allegations of sexual misconduct made by model-actor Kate Sharma. According to reports, the police have found no substance in the allegations.
According to a report by Times of India, the complainant had used birthday photographs taken at Ghai’s office and uploaded them on her Facebook page to claim she was being launched in his next film Aitraz 2. She also made the pictures available to Tehlka, a YouTube channel.
Ghai reportedly stopped communicating with her post the incident, following which allegations of misconduct were made against him in October and Sharma filed a complaint at the Versova police station, only to withdraw it later.
The case has now been closed since the allegations were found to be without base.
