Amitabh Bachchan turns 76 today and his fans couldn’t be any happier. As is usual on his birthday, a huge crowd of fans had gathered to catch a glimpse of the megastar outside his Mumbai home. Many had made long journeys to see Amitabh on this special occasion. They all came prepared with posters, costumes and regalia. Big B made a point to come outside and greet his fans. The cheers of the crowd were deafening.
Watch some of Amitabh’s biggest fans talk about their love for the actor, wish him in their own words and pay tribute in many creative ways. One fan came all the way from Nashik to greet Big B. He calls himself Amitabh’s biggest fan and even looks like the star.
He told the press that he was recovering from a heart attack and came straight from the hospital. He was also a big fan of Amitabh’s father Harivansh Rai Bachchan and recited one of his poems.
Another fan showed off his costume, made to look like Amitabh’s character in Thugs of Hindostan. He had crafted the elaborate costume himself. He also performed a little dance to Amitabh’s hit song Khaike Pan Banaraswala and spouted some classic dialogues.
Thugs of Hindostan stars Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh along with Amitabh. The film is directed by Vijay Shankar Acharya and will release on 8 November. Amitabh will next be seen in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
