More Good Deeds Tomorrow: Big B Clears Loans of 2100 Farmers

The actor says he will also donate money to the families of the martyrs of the Pulwama terror attack.

As part of his ongoing philanthropic efforts, Amitabh Bachchan has reportedly cleared the loans of around 2,100 farmers in Bihar. He announced the news in his blog writing, “A promise made done... the farmers from Bihar that had outstanding loans, picked 2,100 of them and paid off their amount with a OTS (One Time Settlement) with the bank... called some of them over to Janak and personally gave it to them at the hands of Shweta and Abhishek.”

Amitabh Bachchan has been doing his bit to help farmers in debt for a while now. After the success of Piku in 2017, he helped pay off the debts of 350 farmers in Maharashtra. In November 2018, he cleared the loans of around 1,398 farmers in his home state of Uttar Pradesh. Following the Pulwama terror attack on 14 February this year, Bachchan also promised to donate Rs 5 lakhs to the families of the CRPF personnel who were martyred.

Amitabh Bachchan’s twitter account was recently hacked by a group that identified themselves as Ayyildiz Tim Turkish Cyber Army.

On the work front, Big B has been signed on alongside Ayushmann Khurrana for Shoojit Sircar’s Gulabo Sitabo, which releases on 24 April 2020. He will also be seen with Emraan Hashmi in Chehre, a thriller directed by Rumi Jaffery.
