According to a report by Filmfare, Aamir Khan is set to start work on a huge project—a seven-part-long web series based on the Mahabharata. He is allegedly taking on a hands-on approach and will be closely involved in various aspects of production. The report suggests that he will be flying to the US to brainstorm and start work on the project. Aamir has tasked himself with building the core team from scratch, though the cast hasn’t been finalised yet.
Rumours about Aamir Khan working on a version of the Mahabharata have been flying around since last year. During the promotions of his film Secret Superstar, he was quoted as saying that his dream project was the Mahabharata.
My big dream is to make the ‘Mahabharata’ but I’m afraid of starting the project as I know it will consume at least 15 to 20 years of my life. My favourite character is Karna, but I don’t know if I will be able to play him due to my physique. I may just have to play Krishna.Aamir Khan, Actor
