The film has the audience rooting for Charlie Brown, the perennial ‘loser’. For the generations that grew up with the comic strip, chuckling at it every day with their morning paper, the movie is a chance to share the joy of Charlie Schultz’s world with the next generation.
The film has had none of the massive publicity of a major Hollywood blockbuster, but it has garnered positive reviews and a lot of attention on social media.
The Peanuts Movie joins the likes of Inside Out, Up! and the Lego Movie, animated features with touching scripts and endearing characters that seem to strike a chord with young and old audiences alike.
