The Central Board Of Film Certification (CBFC) has clamped down heavily on actor-singer Ayushmann Khurrana’s brother Aparshakti Khurana’s debut film Saat Uchakkey, which also stars Manoj Bajpayee in an important role.

The film about youthful angst directed by Sanjeev Sharma has been asked to cut, mute or replace as many as 90 cuss words. The list includes such certifiable profanities as ‘bahenc..d’, ‘madarc..d’’ uttered repeatedly.

A member of the censor board was appalled by the language in the film.

“In all our experience as jury members we had never heard such cuss words before , like ‘Teri maa ki bahenc...d’ and ‘bahen ke lu.d’ ,” the censor board member says, adding that the CBFC had to find “ninety different  alternatives to ninety hardcore abuses” and still the film was found to be vulgar.

The official letter granting Saat Uchakkey an ‘Adult’ censor certificate after the cuts are implemented states, “The movie is full of abusive/filthy words  and the overall content is not  suitable for even adult viewing due to over dose(sic.)”

We wonder what Shyam Benegal who has recommend a cuts-free censor certification policy, has to say about this.
