After the upbeat song, ‘Lucky Charm’, the makers of The Zoya Factor have released a romantic track, ‘Kaash’. The song depicts the growing closeness between Sonam Kapoor and Dulquer Salman’s characters in the film.

The song has been composed by Shankar Ehsaan Loy and the lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya. Sung by Arijit Singh and Alyssa Mendonsa, the soft breezy composition is easy on the ears.

The song is reminiscent of the music director trio’s of lighthearted melodies like ‘Aaj Kal Zindagi’ and ‘Life Is Crazy’ from Wake Up Sid.

Based Anuja Chauhan’s novel by the same name, The Zoya Factor stars Sonam as Zoya Solanki, whose father deems her to be lucky because she was born on the same day that India won its first ever Cricket World Cup in 1983. Years later, she is sent to work with the Indian cricket team on a campaign as part of her job as an advertising executive. She considers herself to be extremely unlucky in love, until she falls for the team captain, played by Dulquer. In the meanwhile, she also becomes a lucky mascot for the team.

Directed by Abhishek Sharma (Tere Bin Laden and Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran), The Zoya Factor releases in theatres on 20 September.
