1. Police Probe Chopra Brothers, YRF Directors Over IPRS Allegations

The Mumbai police’s Economic Offences Wing will question Aditya and Uday Chopra of Yash Raj Films once they have relevant documents regarding the accusations made by the Indian Performing Rights Society (IPRS).

The IPRS, a body that represents composers, musicians and lyricists, has accused Bollywood production house Yash Raj Films of unauthorised collection of over Rs 100 crore in music royalty belonging to IPRS members. It has also filed an FIR against the production house with the EOW.

2. Freida Pinto Engaged to Photographer Cory Tran

Actor Freida Pinto is engaged to longtime partner, photographer Cory Tran. The Slumdog Millionaire actor announced the news in an Instagram post, along with photos of the couple. She wrote, “It all makes sense now. Life makes sense, the world makes sense, the past tears and trials make sense, what wise old lovers said about love makes sense, where I am makes sense and where I want to go completely makes sense. You my love are just the most beautiful creation to have ever walked into my life. And you are here to stay. Well, I am making you stay. Ha! All my love with all my heart.”

3. Controversial Dialogue in ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’ Edited Out: Producer

The trailer of Kartik Aaryan and Bhumi Pednekar-starrer Pati, Patni Aur Woh received a lot of backlash for its sexist undertones. One particular dialogue has been heavily criticised for making light of marital rape. In the sequence Kartik tells his friend that if a man requests for sex from his wife he is labelled a bhikari (beggar), if he does not have sex with her, he is an atyachari (cruel man) and if somehow he manages to convince her through “jugaad”, he is branded a balatkari (rapist).

Now, the producer of the film Juno Chopra told Mumbai Mirror that the portion has been edited out. Pati, Patni Aur Woh is a remake of Juno’s grandfather BR Chopra’s film and the producer said that he respects people’s sentiments.

4. AR Rahman Drops New Song ‘Ahimsa’ With U2’s Bono and The Edge

There’s nothing better than to see music legends from two different parts of the world share the same space. On 22 November, music composer and singer AR Rahman took to social media to share a photo with band members of U2, Bono and the Edge. In the photo, the three of them are sitting on a couch and posing. The caption reads, “ 🇮🇪 🇮🇳” and the geotag says Mumbai which means that the band has already arrived in the city!

U2 and AR Rahman are collaborating on a new track titled ‘Ahimsa’. They met up at AR Rahman’s studio for the same. Earlier AR Rahman had also shared the artwork of the song. The song is available on Spotify.

5. TV Actor Gehana Vasisth on Ventilator After Cardiac Arrest

TV actor and model Gehana Vasisth, who is currently shooting ALT Balaji’s TV series Gandii Baat, has been put on ventilator support after she fell unconscious after a long shoot schedule. She has been admitted to Raksha Hospital in Mumbai's Malad area. Doctors suggest that she suffered an unfortunate cardiac arrest which might have happened due to an adverse reaction between prescription drugs and some energy drinks she consumed, a report in India Today said.
