If anything, April Fools’ Day is always an opportunity to stay more alert than ever. It’s the day most people will think twice before blindly forwarding a news they received via WhatsApp because pranks are everywhere and you’re most likely to have fallen for one.
So playing on this thought, and India’s general love for Bollywood celebrities (particularly Taimur Ali Khan) here are a few of April Fools’ Day pranks that surfaced on the internet.
Taimur Ali Khan’s Bollywood Debut with Kareena Kapoor
Earlier today, an entertainment website put out a false report saying that Taimur Ali Khan would soon be making his Bollywood debut alongside his mother, Kareena Kapoor Khan, in her film Good News. According to Bollywood Life, Taimur’s cameo will be ten minutes long and he’ll be sharing the screen with not just his mother but Bollywood star Akshay Kumar as well. The website also used a video of little Taimur showing up on the sets of Good News to make the story more believable.
Karan Johar Might Launch Taimur
Bollywood’s Karan Johar is known for many things. One of them being his habit of launching famous celebrity kids. In fact, he has also been called out on his own talk show Koffee with Karan for it. On Monday, a media website reported that Karan Johar, known for launching many celebrity kids like Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor, might do the same for Taimur Ali Khan. The website said that Karan would like to take advantage of Taimur’s fame for “another box office success”.
Shah Rukh Khan to Play Taimur’s Dad’s Role
On Monday, another entertainment website reported that Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan would be playing the role of Taimur Ali Khan’s father in the latter’s debut film. Taking off from the Karan Johar prank, the website claimed that since SRK and Karan Johar were close friends, SRK will be starring in the film and playing the father figure.
