Shilpa Rao uploaded a new video on her YouTube channel where the singer can be seen jamming to the song ‘Ghungroo’ from the Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff and Vaani Kapoor-starrer War. “The ‘Ghungroo’ girls jamming on party song of the year.,” Shilpa captioned the video.
The groovy party song, released last week, is Shilpa’s duet with Arijit Singh, and is composed by music director duo, Vishal-Shekhar.
In the video, Shilpa is seen doing impromptu jam session, accompanied by a guitar, as Vaani cheers her on. In the end, Vaani compliments Shilpa, saying, “You rock.”
This one-and-a-half minute acoustic version is definitely worth a listen.
A light dance track, ‘Ghungroo’ also borrows a couple of lines from Pankaj Udhas’ gazal ‘Ghungroo Toot Gaye’.
The song features Vaani, alongside Hrithik as the two dance at a beach party.
According to a report in mid-day, ‘Ghungroo’ is the first Bollywood track to be shot on the beaches of Positano in the Amalfi coast of Italy, with “over 150 dancers being flown to Milan to dance with Hrithik”.
Produced by Yash Raj Films and directed by Siddharth Anand, War releases on 2 October.
