After launching the likes of Athiya Shetty, Sooraj Pancholi, Warina Hussain and his brother-in-law Aayush Sharma, Salman Khan will have a hand in the debut of Pranutan, the granddaughter of yesteryear actor Nutan and the daughter of actor Mohnish Bahl.

Pranutan will star in the upcoming film Notebook opposite fellow newcomer Zaheer Iqbal, the son of builder Iqbal Ratnasi who is Salman’s childhood friend. Salman took to social media to announce the news, calling the film, which is reportedly set in Kashmir, “the most beautiful love story”.

The film is being directed by Nitin Kakkar and produced by Salman Khan Films in association with Murad Khetani and Ashwin Varde of Cine1 Studios.

In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Pranutan described her foray into acting saying, “Salman sir called my dad from the US and asked him to send me for an audition. Immediately after, he called dad again to say, ‘You are in trouble my friend, your daughter is soon going to be a heroine.’”

Notebook is scheduled to release on 29 March, 2019.
