Bollywood superstar Salman Khan on Monday, 24 April, reached the picturesque hill station of Sonamarg in Jammu and Kashmir for a two-day shoot of the Remo D'Souza directed movie Race 3.

The 52-year-old actor spent over a fortnight in Sonamarg while shooting for Kabir Khan directed super-hit movie Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Sonamarg is hosting Salman for a second time after a gap of three years. Khan is likely to shoot for the movie in Ladakh region, after completing the last leg of his shooting schedule in Sonamarg, IANS reported.
Meanwhile, the film’s cast received a warm welcome by the state government.
Salman Khan met the Chief Minister of the state, Mehbooba Mufti, and the producer of the film Ramesh Taurani posted a picture on social media expressing their gratitude to the chief minister.
The action packed thriller, which is being produced jointly by Ramesh S Taurani and Salman, also features actors Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Jacqueline Fernandez, Daisy Shah and Saqib Saleem.
Like a customary ritual, Race 3 is all set to release during the Eid festival on 15 June. Sonamarg has been one of the most favourite shooting locales for Bollywood.
Raj Kapoor's Ram Teri Ganga Meli and Yash Chopra's Silsila are some of the better known Bollywood movies shot in Sonamarg.
Fans of the superstar are likely to throng his shooting locale in Sonamarg, thereby bringing in business for local hoteliers, tea vendors and pony owners.
