After the success of Ek Tha Tiger and Tiger Zinda Hai, Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif are all set to reunite for a third film in the ‘Tiger’ franchise. Bharat director Ali Abbas Zafar confirmed the same in an interview to PTI earlier today.
While Ek Tha Tiger, released in 2012, was directed by Kabir Khan, the 2017 sequel, Tiger Zinda Hai, was helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar.
Speaking to PTI, Ali said that he will begin work on the Tiger Zinda Hai sequel after Bharat's release.
“I will wait for Bharat to release first. But I've discussed the idea with Salman and Aditya Chopra both. I think there is a great film there in the story,” Ali said.
The ‘Tiger’ films revolve around a RAW agent, Tiger, played by Salman Khan, who joins forces with Zoya, a Pakistani spy, played by Katrina Kaif.
Speaking about the script for the third film, to be produced by Yash Raj Films, Ali said, “It has always been important for me to find the story first. So I am extremely happy and kicked with the story I’ve found for Tiger Zinda Hai (sequel). It'll take the instalment forward and will be synonymous with what the franchise has been doing.
