Rumours that Salman Khan will star in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next film have officially been confirmed. In addition, Alia Bhatt has announced that she will be part of the movie, which is titled Inshallah, as well.
“I was 9 when I first walked into Sanjay Leela Bhansali's office, all nervous and hoping and praying that I would be in his next film. It's been a long wait,” she tweeted.
“Dream with your eyes wide open they say & I did. Sanjay Sir and Salman Khan are magical together & I can't wait to join them on this beautiful journey called Inshallah,” she added.
Alia had earlier been spotted at Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s office which further fuelled speculations that she has been signed on by the director.
Salman Khan also confirmed the news in a tweet saying, “It’s been 20 years but I am glad Sanjay and I are finally back in his next film, Inshallah. Looking forward to work with Alia and inshallah we will all be blessed on this journey.”
When Salman was previously asked about the project at the launch of Bigg Boss 12 in Goa he said, “Yes, I am doing Sanjay’s film. I don’t know much about it. Have only heard a one-liner about it. But Sanjay is not answering my calls. Please ask him to speak to me.”
Salman and Sanjay have worked together on three films so far: Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Saawariya and Khamoshi: The Musical. They had fallen out for a while but appear to have settled their differences. The Dabangg star is also rumoured to have been roped in by Sanjay, along with Shah Rukh Khan, for the remake of 1952 Meena Kumari classic Baiju Bawra.
