Rishi Kapoor and Taapsee Pannu to Star in Social Thriller ‘Mulk’

Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor has given his fans a glimpse into two diverse looks that he is sporting - one for Mulk and another for 102 Not Out.

Rishi, 65, is seen in a different haircut and a beard in Mulk, directed by Anubhav Sinha.

“For all my fans, my first look of the film Mulk. Voice of tomorrow,” he wrote as he changed his profile picture on Twitter.

Neena Gupta, who will be playing Rishi Kapoor’s wife said that she is “quite excited to be a part of this experimental and phenomenal film”. This will be the first time Neena Gupta and Rishi Kapoor will share screen space.

The movie, a social thriller, is being shot in Lucknow.

Mulk also stars Prateik Babbar, Rajat Kapoor, Ashutosh Rana and Taapsee Pannu as well as 12 other actors from Lucknow. Taapsee Pannu also shared a photo as she kick-started the filming of the thriller, Mulk.

According to reports, Taapsee will play veteran actor Rishi Kapoor's daughter-in-law in the film and will be seen as a lawyer.

"After a short break of doing a light-hearted film, I am back to doing a movie which will trigger debate and touch hearts," Taapsee said in a statement.

"It's a social thriller and I am so looking forward to sharing screen space with few of the best actors we have in the industry. It's a beautiful ensemble and films like these really help me grow as an actor," she added.

Meanwhile, in a stream of comments on his post, Rishi Kapoor replied to one user with a photograph of his look from Umesh Shukla's 102 Not Out.

"Another diffrent fun film I am doing, 102 Not Out with the amazing AB," Rishi wrote.

The movie will feature him as a 75-year-son of a 102-year-old man, essayed by Amitabh Bachchan.
