Rakesh Roshan Refutes Rumour, Confirms He Will Direct ‘Krrish 4’

Recently there have been many rumours about Rakesh Roshan’s departure from the Krrish franchise. However, in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, the filmmaker has refuted them. He has confirmed that he’s still very much a part of the franchise. The rumours earlier said that Sanjay Gupta, the director of Kaabil, would be replacing Rakesh. However, that’s not true.

While speaking to the entertainment website, Rakesh said that he too had come across the same rumours.

While speaking to the entertainment website, Rakesh said that he too had come across the same rumours. He further confirms that he will be directing the fourth installment and that Sanjay Gupta has joined him in the writing process. He adds that Gupta is busy with his Mumbai Saga shoot.

Rakesh Roshan has refrained from any guarantee about an official announcement. He said that he still isn’t completely sure about it. However, he knows that the film will be an ambitious one, which will require a lot of pre-production work and he is looking forward to it.

Rakesh Roshan also said that the franchise is very close to his heart and he is very passionate about it. He also expected everyone on his crew to be incredibly passionate and sincere.

Rakesh Roshan is currently recovering from throat cancer. In January, he had to undergo treatment for the same.

Hrithik, who is currently enjoying the success of his film ‘War’, said that work will soon begin on the fourth installment of Krrish, his superhit superhero franchise.

The first film of the franchise, Koi... Mil Gaya, directed by the actor's father, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, released in 2003. It was followed by Krrish in 2006 and Krrish 3 in 2013. In 2017, Hrithik Roshan decided to revive the superhit franchise.

Hrithik, who is currently enjoying the success of his film War, said that work will soon begin on the fourth installment of Krrish, his superhit superhero franchise. The Super 30 actor also said he is curious about taking forward the series, which was put on the back-burner owing to his father's ill health.
