PM Narendra Modi, an upcoming biopic on India’s incumbent prime minister, will release on 5 April, a week ahead of its original schedule. The makers had earlier announced that the film would hit theatres on 12 April, a date that coincided with the country’s general elections, which commence from 11 April.
Directed by Omung Kumar (Mary Kom, Sarabjit), the film follows Narendra Modi’s journey to becoming India’s prime minister. It stars Vivek Oberoi as Modi and features Boman Irani, Manoj Joshi, Darshan Kumaar, Prashant Narayanan and Zarina Wahab. It has been produced Sandip Ssingh, Anand Pandit and Suresh Oberoi.
According to the makers, the film went on floors at the end of January and was shot across locations in Gujarat, Uttarakhand and Mumbai.
