The trailer for Vinod Kapri’s Pihu has been released. The unconventional social thriller has for its protagonist a two-year-old girl. The trailer is an unnerving depiction of the potentially dangerous situations the little girl gets into as her mother lies in bed unresponsive and she is left to her own devices without supervision.
Based on a true story, Pihu stars Myra Vishwakarma and is produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur. It was the opening film at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2017.
The poster of the film, which was released earlier, shows a little girl picking up pills on the floor with a woman’s immobile hand hanging by the side. Check it out here:
Pihu revolves around a two-year-old negotiating her sometimes dangerous home as her mother lies unresponsive and her absent father tries to communicate with them. It is set to release on 16 November.
