Phantom Films Dissolved; Anurag Kashyap Tweets Announcement 

Phantom Films led by Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane calls it a day.

Phantom Films, a production company started by filmmakers Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane, Vikas Bahl and producer Madhu Mantena in 2011, has now folded up. The production house’s popular ‘Fuh se Phantom’ credit call will no longer be heard in any of the new films that will coming out from Bollywood after the release of Hrithik Roshan-starrer Super 30, which is currently under production.

Anurag Kashyap tweeted about the end of Phantom with this post: “Phantom was a dream, a glorious one and all dreams come to an end . We did our best and we succeeded and we failed. But i know for sure we will come out of this stronger, wiser and will continue to pursue our dreams our own individual ways. We wish each other the best.”

Filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane put out a statement thanking his three partners and said that he hopes “our paths will cross again in better times.”

Producer Madhu Mantena also put out his statement regarding the dissolving of Phantom Films on Twitter, calling it “the best thing that has happened to me in my producing career.”

Phantom Films was formed in 2011 and in March 2015, Reliance Entertainment had picked up 50% stake in the company. All the partners will continue to work with Reliance Entertainment individually. Over the years Phantom Films has been behind several successful movie projects including Queen, Masaan, Udta Punjab andTrapped.
