After halting shooting for Amole Gupte’s upcoming biopic on badminton champion Saina Nehwal due to a bout of dengue, Shraddha Kapoor has dropped out of the film. The role will now be essayed by Parineeti Chopra.
According to Mumbai Mirror, Shraddha forfeited the role due to a tight schedule. She is currently filming for Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment’s Chhinchhore and Street Dancer with Baaghi 3 expected to go on floors soon. She also stars alongside Prabhas in action-thriller Saaho, which releases in August.
“We want to wrap up Saina by this year-end for an early 2020 release, so going ahead with the project is a decision taken by mutual consent. We are glad Parineeti has come on board for the film. Saina has made every Indian proud and we can’t wait to take her story to the world in the year of the Olympics,” said producer Bhushan Kumar.
