Kangana and Rajkummar are reuniting onscreen in Ekta Kapoor and Shailesh R Singh’s upcoming film, Mental Hai Kya. Some looks of the film released earlier definitely made us brainstorm what the film was about. Now there seems to be some clarity on it after Kangana was spotted dressed like a cop on the sets of the film.
The two actors were last seen in the sleeper hit Queen. The new looks show the pair screaming their lungs out, stubbing burning cigarettes on forehead and tongue. In another, they are wielding scary looking knives.
In the second look of the film Rajkummar is wrapped in tape with a zany expression and Kangana is smiling away in a recreation of a murder investigation scene of sorts.
Described as an edgy and entertaining thriller, Mental Hai Kya is being directed by veteran Tollywood filmmaker K Raghavendra Rao’s son, Prakash Kovelamudi.

First look of Mental Hai Kya:
Kangana Ranaut has shed some light on her character in Mental Hai Kya, the story of which revolves around a woman who could be a murderer or a mentally ill person.
“You’re never sure if this girl is hallucinating or what’s happening to her is for real, whether the guy (Rajkummar Rao) is trying to trap her or she’s got him wrong.”Kangana Ranaut, as quoted to Mumbai Mirror.
On working with the Newton actor, Rajkummar Rao, Ranaut added:
“He is a star today while still being a brilliant actor, so I will have to be on my toes to ensure he doesn’t steal the show from right under my nose.”
Ekta Kapoor also shared her excitement on working with the Queen team.
“Mental Hai Kya celebrates the beauty in imperfections and in being different and shouts out, sanity is overrated! I’m thrilled to work with Kangana and Raj on this one.”Ekta Kapoor, Producer
Directed by Prakash Kovelamudi and written by Kanika Dhillon (of Ra.One, Kedarnath fame), Mental Hai Kya is slated to go on the floors later this month.
