Sidharth Malhotra-Starrer 'Marjaavan' to Now Release on 8 November
After Satyameva Jayate, director Milap Milan Zaveri is gearing up for his next film Marjaavan. He showed it to his Satyameva Jayate actor John Abraham and he loved it. John even pushed the release of his film Pagalpanti to make sure that Marjaavan has a solo release date. The film, starring Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh, Tara Sutaria and Rakul Preet Singh, will now hit the theatres on 8 November.
“John Abraham is my friend and he is the only person who believed in me when no one did. When I went to show him the trailer of Marjaavan, John loved it and he immediately pushed the release of his film so that we can go solo. Only a true friend will do that”, Milap said in a statement.
Calling Milap and writer Nikkil true friends, John said that Marjaavan will benefit from a solo release.
'Mission Mangal' Becomes Akshay's Highest Grossing Film
Akshay Kumar's latest release Mission Mangal has earned Rs 193.14 crore at the box office since it hit theatres on 15 August, and has become Akshay's highest grossing film.
Mission Mangal is based the Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) Mars Orbiter Mission, aka Mangalyaan, which was launched in 2013.
Ishaan Khatter, Tabu to Begin Shooting for 'A Suitable Boy'
Acclaimed filmmaker Mira Nair will start shooting for the screen adaptation of the Vikram Seth's 1993 novel A Suitable Boy in Lucknow on Saturday. The film features Tabu, Ishaan Khatter and newcomer Tanya Maniktala. Tanya will play the central role of Lata, in the project adapted by Andrew Davies. The six-part BBC One drama will be shot on locations across India. Produced by Lookout Point, it is slated to launch next year.

Nicki Minhaj Hints at Retirement From Limelight
Rapper Nicki Minaj has announced on Twitter that she is retiring and wants to have a family. The 'Anaconda' singer tweeted, "I've decided to retire & have my family. I know you guys are happy now. To my fans, keep reppin me, do it till da death of me, [X] in the box- cuz ain't nobody checkin me. Love you for life." However, it's unclear whether Minhaj is serious about this decision. In August, the singer said on her radio show that she and boyfriend Kenneth Petty will be married "in 80 days".
Govt to Honour Lata Mangeshkar on 90th Birthday
The Indian government will honour legendary playback singer Lata Mangeshkar with the title of ‘Daughter Of The Nation on 28 September, her 90th birthday. She will be conferred the title as a tribute to her contribution to Indian film music over seven decades. Poet-lyricist Prasoon Joshi has written a special song for the occasion. "Modiji is a very big fan of Lataji's voice. She represents the collective voice of the Indian nation. Honouring her is to honour the daughter of the nation and that's what we will officially designate her on her 90th birthday," IANS quoted a source from the government as saying.
