Arjun & Janhvi Kapoor Welcome Keerthy Suresh With Warm Messages

South actress Keerthy Suresh will be making her Hindi film debut opposite Ajay Devgn in Badhaai Ho director Amit Sharma’s venture. While Ajay essays the role of footballer Syed Abdul Rahim in the film, Keerthy will play Rahim's wife.

The film is produced by Boney Kapoor, and his children Arjun Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor took to social media platforms to extend a warm welcome to Keerthy. Janhvi was ecstatic and said she was mesmerised by Keerthy’s performance in Mahanati, a biopic on legendary actress Savitri. She shared a heartfelt message on Instagram.

Even Arjun Kapoor took to Twitter to welcome her to Bollywood.

Speaking about working with Ajay, Keerthy had said, "Ajay Devgn is one of the most talented superstars that we have in our country. I have seen a lot of his films and it is an honour for me to share screen space with an actor of his calibre," she added.

As for making her debut in Bollywood, the actor had said, “ I am elated and honoured to be a part of such a great story. I believe this is a story that doesn't belong to any specific region or language of India but is a great story that the world should be aware of.”

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh had tweeted about the actor making her debut in Bollywood. He wrote: “IT’S OFFICIAL... Keerthy Suresh - a leading name in South Indian films - to make her Hindi film debut opposite Ajay Devgn... #BadhaaiHo director Amit Sharma will direct... Produced by Boney Kapoor, Akash Chawla and Arunava Joy Sengupta.”

Rahim's biopic will go on the floors in June. It chronicles the Indian football team's glory from 1950 to 1963.
