Katrina Kaif’s sister Isabelle Kaif is all set to make her Bollywood debut opposite Salman Khan’s brother-in-law Aayush Sharma in the film, Kwatha. Directed by first-timer Karan Lalit Butan, the film is set to go on floors by September.
The announcement squashed recent rumours, which suggested that Jacqueline Fernandez was being cast in the film.
Aayush will be playing the role of an army officer in the action-drama, which is said to be inspired by true events. While Salman had launched Aayush, he won’t be producing this Isabelle-Aayush starrer. Kwatha will be produced by Sunil Jain, Omprakash Bhat, Aditya Joshi, Sujay Shankarwar and Alok Thakur.
Isabelle took to Instagram to make the announcement, and wrote, “I am super excited to be able to tell you that I have joined @kwathafilm! Thank you @aaysharma and @karanlalitbutani for the amazingly warm welcome! @cultentertain @purplebullent #kwatha.”
Some time back, Aayush had said in a statement that he was “honoured to play an army officer.”
“It’s a huge honour to play an army officer. I’m really looking forward to start shooting for the film.”Aayush Sharma
Earlier, Isabelle was rumoured to be making her debut opposite Sooraj Pancholi in Stanley D’costa’s Time To Dance.
Aayush Sharma, on the other hand, made his debut alongside Warina Hussain last year, in Salman Khan’s production Loveyatri. But the film failed at the box office.
Kwatha is slated to release in 2020.
