Hrithik Roshan-starrer Super 30 hit theatres on 12 July. The film is inspired by the life of math whiz and IIT coach Anand Kumar who began a programme called Super 30 to tutor underprivileged students who couldn’t afford expensive IIT-JEE coaching classes.
Bollywood celebs such as Karan Johar, Sonali Bendre, Dia Mirza and Kriti Sanon have called the film inspiring and are all praises for Hrithik’s performances in the film. Here’s what they have to say:
Karan Johar said that he appreciated the film’s “hugely strong and relevant message”. He called Hrithik’s performance “brilliant”. “Nuanced, assured, rock solid and yet always the movie star you want him and love him to be!” he wrote. He also congratulated director Vikas Bahl and producers Sajid Nadiadwala and Madhu Matena.
Sonali Bendre said that she “laughed, cried and came out inspired”.
Of course, Hrithik’s dad Rakesh Roshan chimed in with pride. “Brilliant and inspiring with powerful performances and an apt background score make Vikas Bahl’s Super 30 a commercial masterpiece,” he tweeted.
Farah Khan couldn’t stop gushing about Super 30 and deemed it the “movie of the year”. “Hrithik, you’re always good, but this performance is on another level,” she tweeted.
She also praised director Vikas Bahl, calling his direction “flawless” and gave a shout out to Anand Kumar.
