The trailer of Jalebi: The Everlasting Taste of Love , starring Rhea Chakraborty, debutant Varun Mitra and Digangana Suryavanshi, has just been released. Directed by Pushpdeep Bhardwaj, the film is touted to be a love story that begins after the “happily ever after”. Take a look.
Just like the title, this trailer is long, unwieldy and more than a bit melodramatic. The story seems to be of the age old relationship v/s career dilemma. However, producer Mahesh Bhatt is very optimistic about the film, saying “In this changing shifting world where the old stories have collapsed and no new story has yet emerged to replace them comes a story of everlasting love.”
Jalebi ran into controversy last week when social media sleuths noticed that the poster for the film is inspired by the iconic ‘Korean War Goodbye Kiss’ - captured by the Los Angeles Times photographer Frank Brown in 1950.
Jalebi: The Everlasting Taste of Love is all set to hit the screens on 12 October.
