The excitement surrounding Salman Khan’s Bharat continues to crank up with cast announcements. After we learned that Katrina Kaif replaced Priyanka Chopra in the Ali Abbas Zafar directorial, the next big news is that our ‘Bhidu’, Jackie Shroff is set to father Salman Khan on screen. That’s big! Zafar confirms the development. Bharat also features Disha Patani, Sunil Grover and Tabu.
The period film is a remake of the Korean film, Ode to My Father and Salman Khan admits that it’s his most ambitious project to date.
Talking about Jackie Shroff, director Ali Abbas Zafar shares, “We met Jaggu da in London and discussed his dates and looks. I have wanted to work with him for a long time as I feel he is the perfect amalgamation of a star and actor. I was very glad as Jackie sir instantly agreed with the story to do the film in just 20 mins of narration.”
Salman Khan will be sporting five different looks spanning 60 years, wherein a pivotal part will showcase the actor in his late 20s. Salman Khan is gearing up to recreate his Karan-Arjun look which has created immense buzz amongst the fans. Bharat will be shot across many locations in Malta and Abu Dhabi, besides Punjab and Delhi.
The team has recently concluded the second schedule in Malta. Bankrolled by Atul Agnihotri's Reel Life Production Pvt. Ltd and Bhushan Kumar's T-Series it is slated for a Eid 2019 release.
