Actor Irrfan Khan is back in action after a long break. The actor has now begun shooting for the sequel to Hindi Medium in Udaipur. Directed by Homi Adjania and produced by Dinesh Vijan, the sequel has been titled Angrezi Medium and will be shot across Udaipur and London.
It’s almost a year since Irrfan was diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumour and had to move to London for treatment.
The actor had on 3 April confirmed confirmed his recovery and expressed his gratitude towards his fans for standing by him during his health crisis. Irrfan was recently photographed at Mumbai airport on 2 April, after a long absence owing to his health scare, announced his return on Twitter with this post.
On 16 March last year, Irrfan had posted on social media about his illness and that he would be back with more stories to tell: “The unexpected makes us grow, which is what the past few days have been about. Learning that I have been diagnosed with NeuroEndocrine Tumour as of now has admittedly been difficult, but the love and strength of those around me and that I found within me has brought me to a place of hope. The journey of this is taking me out of the country, and I request everyone to continue sending their wishes. As for the rumours that were floated NEURO is not always about the brain and googling is the easiest way to do research. To those who waited for my words, I hope to be back with more stories to tell,” is what the actor had posted on social media.
Irrfan’s last mainstream release was Karwaan directed by Akarsh Khurana, which released on 10 August 2018. We are glad that the actor is back amongst us. Here’s looking forward to Angrezi Medium. We missed you Irrfan!
