Amit Goyal, legal counsel of the students, told mid-day that the film does not seem authentic. “Though we are not aware of the facts that will be shown in the film, the promotional teaser indicates that Kumar is being celebrated. Anand Kumar’s reply to the PIL does not address the allegations completely”, Goyal said.

Anand Kumar has celebrated the success of his coaching class Super 30, which touts to enable underprivileged kids get admission into the IIT course. It did not go down well with the students and they had asked the names of the pupils who took admission in 2018. The IIT-students alleged that Kumar’s false claims encouraged students to apply for Super 30. However, during the application procedure, he would urge them to take admission in institute, Ramanujan School of Mathematics, by paying Rs 33,000.

Goyal added that since Anand Kumar hasn’t yet revealed the names, the movie may send out a wrong message.

Super 30 is set to hit the theatres on 12 July.
