Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff’s latest action thriller War has had a roaring run at the box office since it hit theatres on 2 October. The film has now hit the triple century by crossing Rs 300 crore on Day 19 of its release. Earlier this week, War surpassed the lifetime business of Shahid Kapoor’s Kabir Singh (Rs 276.34 crore) to become the highest grossing Bollywood film of 2019. It has also crossed the lifetime business of Vicky Kaushal’s Uri.
According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Hrithik Roshan also had a backend deal with Yash Raj Films, whereby he also has a share in profits.
The film also crossed Rs 200 crore in just seven days of its release, and Rs 100 crore in three days. War also became the 10th highest grossing Bollywood film of all time. Baahubali 2 remains at the number one spot, followed by Dangal, Sanju, PK and Tiger Zinda Hai.
The action thriller crossed several benchmarks in the first five days since it hit theatres, and is the highest opener for its stars Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff and director Siddharth Anand.
