Gulshan Kumar is the man behind music label, T-Series. The son of a fruit seller, he switched career paths when his family acquired a cassette shop, which inadvertently changed his life. Kumar, known to be a religious man who built his brand largely relying on devotional music and Hindi film soundtracks, was shot dead outside a temple in 1997 for allegedly refusing to pay protection money to Dawood Ibrahim’s gang.

Akshay Kumar was earlier roped in for the project. He had even unveiled the first look of Moghul. According to reports, Akshay Kumar stepped out of the project due to creative differences with the makers. Aamir Khan has confirmed that he won’t be acting in the film.
