1. Priyanka Signs Up With Chris Pratt After Walking Out On Salman

Priyanka Chopra walked out of Salman Khan’s Bharat recently citing personal reasons - reportedly her big fat wedding with Nick Jonas. But, The Hollywood Reporter has just confirmed that the actor has signed up for a big Hollywood film opposite none other than Chris Pratt. Priyanka will now play the female lead opposite Pratt in Universal’s Cowboy Ninja Viking.

The big budget Hollywood film is reportedly in preproduction and will be directed by Michelle MacLaren of Game of Thrones fame. According to a report in THR, “Based on the Image Comics graphic novel by A.J. Lieberman and illustrator Riley Rossmo, the story revolves around a counter-intelligence unit formed by psychotherapist Dr. Sebastian Ghislain, who transforms agents known as Triplets, a reference to multiple personalities. Pratt is playing a formidable agent with the fighting skills and personalities of a cowboy, a ninja,and a viking.”

2. Mumbai Court Grants Interim Stay on Release of ‘Mulk’

A sessions court here today granted an interim stay on the release of Rishi Kapoor starrer film Mulk.

The film is scheduled to be released on August 3.

The court was hearing an application filed by one Vandana Punwani, who is embroiled in a property rent dues dispute with production and entertainment agency the Benaras Media Works Limited.

3. Anil ‘Fanney’ Kapoor Pays Tribute to Rafi With ‘Badan Pe Sitare’

On Mohammed Rafi's 38th death anniversary on 31 July, actor Anil Kapoor unveiled a recreated version of the iconic song Badan pe sitare from his upcoming Fanney Khan. The new version is sung by Sonu Nigam.

“Honoring & remembering #MohammadRafi sahab on his death anniversary with this small tribute, we can never match up to his talent but this is just our way of showing our love for him!” Anil posted on Twitter.

4. Pooja Bhatt & Sanjay Dutt’s ‘Sadak’ Sequel Gets a Release Date

Sadak 2, the sequel of Pooja Bhatt's 1991 hit film Sadak, has been locked for release on 15 November, 2019.

Mahesh Bhatt and Vishesh Films are presenting Sadak 2, which is produced by Mukesh Bhatt, read a statement. Earlier, Pooja Bhatt, who had starred in the original film with Sanjay Dutt, had said Sadak 2 will deal with the issue of depression.

5. ‘Paltan’ Poster: Meet JP Dutta’s New Indian Army Squad

JP Dutta has added another film to his formidable war film kitty. Paltan is based on the 1962 Sino-Indian War (between India and China), and stars Arjun Rampal, Jackie Shroff and Sonu Sood, the film also features Harshvardhan Rane and Luv Sinha, Sonakshi Sinha’s brother.
