1. Article 370 Revocation: Kangana, Richa Chadha & Others React

Amidst heightened tensions, media blackout and massive troop deployment by the Indian Army in Jammu and Kashmir, Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday, 5 August announced the revocation of Article 370 which was met with a huge outcry in the parliament.

Article 370 of the Indian constitution grants special status to the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Now, many Bollywood celebrities have taken to Twitter to express their opinion about the revocation of the Article. Kangana Ranaut termed it a “historic step”.

2. ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!’ Turns 25, Mohnish & Renuka Share Memories

Actors Mohnish Bahl and Renuka Shahane marked the occasion of their film Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! completing 25 years by sharing throwback videos and special messages for their fans.

Mohnish on Monday 5 August shared a clip from an interview he did especially for the 25th anniversary. He wrote on Twitter, “ What a wonderful time chatting with @ashishtiwarireal ... 3. Heaven Is Burning as We Weep: Mahira Khan Stands With Kashmir

In the wake of ongoing developments in Kashmir, Pakistani actor Mahira Khan on Monday took to Twitter to show solidarity towards everyone affected by the situation.

She wrote, “Have we conveniently blocked what we don’t want to address? This is beyond lines drawn on sand, it’s about innocent lives being lost! Heaven is burning and we silently weep. #Istandwithkashmir #kashmirbleeds”.

4. As If Depression Is a Choice! Deepika Reacts to Salman’s Comment

In a new interview, Deepika Padukone responded to what appears to be a comment Salman Khan made about depression without naming the Bharat star. Deepika also made a point to respond to a flippant remark by another star.

The male star Deepika is referring to appears to be Salman Khan, who in a February 2018 interview with IANS claimed that he “couldn’t afford the luxury of depression.”

5. Saif and Aamir Roped in for Hindi Remake of ‘Vikram Vedha’

Saif Ali Khan and Aamir Khan are reportedly set to feature in the Hindi remake of 2017 Tamil hit Vikram Vedha, which starred R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi. The story is a modern day take on the folk tale of Raja Vikramaditya and the spirit Betal, where Vikram is a cop in hot pursuit of a criminal named Vedha. Though the cop manages to capture him several times, Vedha always slips away after distracting him with a captivating story from his life. Aamir will reportedly play Vedha with Saif as the righteous cop.
