The upcoming third installment of the franchise film Dabangg is going to release in December. Recently, the song ‘Munna Badnaam Hua’ from the film was dropped. However, the song’s video isn’t out yet as it’s still being filmed. According to latest reports, the song video will feature a dance off sequence between Salman Khan and director-choreographer Prabhudeva.
According to midday, the song was originally supposed to have Salman and Warina Hussain only. However, Salman Khan had a last-minute idea and decided to rope in Prabhudeva to be a part of the song. Salman felt that being a dance icon, this would be a great opportunity for Prabhudeva.
Salman then took that up with the director of the film and after that was finalised, Salman got in touch with the stylists of the film so they could source a similar jacket for Prabhudeva. Salman’s sister Alvira Agnihotri and designer Ashley Rebello are styling the cast of the film. ‘Munna Badnaam Hua’ will be choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant.
This sudden change was incorporated after a portion of the song had already been shot in Mumbai at Mehboob Studios.
Prabhudeva last shared a screen with Salman in the song ‘Mera Hi Jalwa’ from Wanted (2009). Recalling that experience, he told midday that he is quite excited for ‘Munna Badnaam Hua’.
On 11 November, the audio of ‘Munna Badnaam Hua’ dropped. The song title is inspired from the original Dabangg song ‘Munni Badnaam Hui’ featuring Malaika Arora.\
The song has been sung by Kamaal Khan and for the rap bit, Badshah has lent his voice. Salman had taken to social media to share the song. He wrote, “Kamaal Khan ki aawaaz, Badshah ka rap aur Chulbul ki dabanggayi; suniye #MunnaBadnaamHua
