Ayushmann Khurrana’s upcoming film Bala is all set to release on 15 November, and the trailer for the film is finally out for the audiences to see. The film is directed by Amar Kaushik of Stree fame, and produced by Dinesh Vijan. The film follows the story of a man dealing with premature balding.
Check out the trailer below.
The trailer follows Ayushmann’s character as he tries every solution possible for hair growth. Eventually he settles on a convincing wig and gains the confidence to pursue his dream girl played by Yami Gautam. However, he doesn’t reveal his shameful secret to her and the couple get married with her none the wiser.
The film also stars Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam. Ayushmann has already worked with both Bhumi Pednekar (Dum Laga Ke Haisha and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan) and Yami Gautam (Vicky Donor) before this. It will be interesting to see the actors come together again.
Bala has already had to deal with controversy. Actor Kamal Kant Chandra had filed a complaint against the film in June, citing plagiarism. He accused Ayushmann Khurrana, director Amar Kaushik and producer Dinesh Vijan for starting the shoot of Bala despite his objections over the script of the film. He said that he had “narrated the film to Ayushmann in 2017”.
The topic of the film will also be seen in another upcoming film called Ujda Chaman, starring Sunny Singh in the leading role, set to release on 8 November. The movie is a comedy drama directed by Abhishek Pathak and produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak. It narrates the story of Chaman, a man who is balding prematurely and how he copes with the situation.
It will be interesting to see how audiences compare the two films.
