‘Judgementall’ Posters Plagiarised Others’ Works Too Claims Artist

“It’s a shame for big companies plagiarising freelance artists work,” she wrote in a social media post.

After calling out the makers of Judgementall Hai Kya for allegedly plagiarising her work in a poster for the film, Hungarian artist Flora Borsi also pointed out that some of the other promotional material bears a strong resemblance to works by other artists as well.

She posted a poster featuring Rajkummar Rao covered in adhesive tape and compared it to a portrait of a man whose face has been distorted with tape by photographer Wes Naman from his Scotch Tape series. Another one of Rajkummar with his fingers on his eyelids and his nails painted black was likened to a similar photograph from Pinterest by an unnamed artist.

Neither the film’s producers Balaji Motion Pictures nor the marketing agency Brain on Rent, which was responsible for the promotional material of Judgementall Hai Kya, have responded to these claims.

On Monday, 29 July, the European artist had accused the makers of Judgementall Hai Kya of plagiarising her work. She took to Facebook to share a collage of her original photograph alongside one of Judgementall Hai Kya’s posters featuring Kangana Ranaut. The two are near identical.
