The shoot of Angrezi Medium, directed by Homi Adajania, a sequel to 2017’s Hindi Medium, began in Jodhpur, Rajasthan recently. Lead actor Irrfan Khan has now revealed some interesting details about his character in a post on Twitter.
The actor let out that he plays the role of a sweet shop owner named Champak. In the picture shared by Irrfan, he is seen posing as the proud owner of the shop, which is being run by his family for generations.
Radhika Madan plays the role of his daughter who wishes to pursue higher education in the UK.
Irrfan returned to India on 2 April to begin shooting for film after completing his cancer treatment in the UK.
The actor’s last commercial release was Karwaan, directed by Akarsh Khurana, which released on 10 August 2018.
On the other hand, Irrfan’s Angrezi Medium co-star, Radhika Madan, revealed the presence of Kareena Kapoor Khan in the film.
Speculations of Kareena’s presence in the film have been on for a long time, but there had been no official confirmation until now.
But sharing the picture of the clap board during the shoot of the film, Radhika, used the Kareena Kapoor hashtag, confirming the actress’s presence in the film.
“As excited as the man behind! So so so grateful for this new journey. @irrfan @homster @maddockfilms #kareenakapoorkhan #dineshvijan,” she captioned the image.
Kareena’s role in the film though has been kept under wraps.
Kareena recently wrapped up the shooting of her next film, Good News, where she stars opposite Akshay Kumar.
